Voxel Marketing LLC, doing business as SameSky Social ("SameSky," "we," "us," or "our") provides a platform that connects individuals experiencing similar life situations through anonymous, AI-facilitated matching and real-time chat ("Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information in connection with our Service, as well as your rights and choices regarding such information.

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and information from third-party services.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and password. If you sign up via a third-party provider (e.g., Google, Facebook), we receive your name and email address from that provider.
• Profile Information: During onboarding, you may provide a display handle, avatar selection, age range, gender, general location, and interest categories. This information is used to personalize your experience and improve match quality.
• Situation Prompts: When you initiate a match, you submit a text prompt describing what you are currently experiencing. This prompt is processed by our AI system to identify compatible matches.
• Chat Messages: Content of messages you send and receive within matched conversations on the platform.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Log & Device Data: We automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs when you access the Service.
• Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with the Service, including login timestamps, features accessed, pages viewed, and actions taken (e.g., matches initiated, messages sent).
• Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use session cookies and similar technologies to maintain your authenticated session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide and Operate the Service: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, facilitate AI-powered matching, and enable real-time chat between matched users.
• AI Matching: Your situation prompts, along with relevant profile attributes (such as age range and interest categories), are processed by our AI matching system to identify users experiencing similar situations. Prompts are not shared with other users; only the match result and a conversation are created.
• Safety, Moderation & Integrity: To monitor for and address violations of our Terms of Service, including abusive behavior, harassment, spam, and content that may pose a risk to user safety.
• Communication: To send you service-related notices, including account verification, security alerts, and updates to our policies.
• Improvement & Analytics: To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the quality and reliability of the Service, including the accuracy of our matching algorithms.
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We engage third-party companies and services to perform functions on our behalf. These providers have access to personal information only as necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect it:

• Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase for authentication, session management, and account security. Your email address and authentication tokens are processed by Firebase. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase.
• Anthropic: Situation prompts and limited profile context are transmitted to the Anthropic API to power our AI matching system. This data is used solely for generating match assessments and is subject to Anthropic's data usage policies. We do not permit Anthropic to use your data to train their models.
• Hosting & Infrastructure: We use cloud infrastructure providers to host the Service and store data. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legal process; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of SameSky; (c) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; (d) protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Service of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.

4.4 With Other Users

When you are matched with another user, your display handle and avatar are visible to that user. Your email address, real name, and situation prompt are never shared with other users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. Specific retention practices include:

• Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days.
• Chat Messages: Messages in active connections are retained for the duration of the connection. Messages in expired or unmatched connections may be automatically deleted.
• Situation Prompts: Retained for the duration of the matching process and associated connection. Historical prompts may be anonymized and retained for service improvement.
• Log & Usage Data: Retained for up to 12 months for security, analytics, and debugging purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

We may retain certain information for longer periods as required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
• Encryption of data at rest
• Secure authentication via Firebase with support for multi-factor authentication
• Role-based access controls limiting internal access to user data
• Regular security assessments and monitoring

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information. You can delete your account at any time through the Service, which will initiate removal of your data.

• Objection & Restriction: You may object to or request restriction of certain processing of your personal information.
• Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data to the United States and process it there. Your submission of information represents your consent to that transfer.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@samesky.ai. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our servers.

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
• The right to request deletion of your personal information.
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Note: we do not sell or share your personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
