Community Guidelines

SameSky is built on empathy, trust, and real human connection. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe and welcoming for everyone. By using SameSky, you agree to follow these standards.

1. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to use SameSky. By accessing the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Be Mindful and Considerate

Everyone on SameSky is here because they are going through something. Approach every conversation with empathy and an open mind. Remember that the person on the other side is a real human being with real feelings.

3. Be Respectful

Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Disagreements are natural, but they should never escalate into personal attacks. Listen actively, respond thoughtfully, and give others the space to express themselves.

4. No Hurtful or Abusive Language

Do not use language that is intended to hurt, demean, or intimidate others. This includes insults, name-calling, sarcasm used to belittle, or any communication designed to make someone feel unwelcome or unsafe.

5. Zero Tolerance for Harassment and Abuse

Flaming, harassment, and abuse will NOT be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

Violations will result in immediate action, which may include warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

6. No Spam or Solicitation

SameSky is not a place for advertising, promotion, or solicitation. Do not send unsolicited messages promoting products, services, websites, or any commercial content. Do not attempt to recruit, sell, or fundraise through conversations.

7. No Illegal Content or Activity

Do not share links to, or promote, illegal content of any kind. Do not use SameSky to plan, coordinate, or encourage illegal activity. Any content that violates applicable laws will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

8. Protect Your Privacy and Others

SameSky is designed to be anonymous. Do not share your own personally identifiable information (real name, address, phone number, social media accounts) unless you are comfortable doing so. Never pressure others to share their personal information, and never share someone else's private details without their explicit consent.

9. No Impersonation

Do not impersonate other users, staff members, or any other person or entity. Do not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or intentions.

10. Use the Reporting Tools

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please use the in-app reporting tools to flag it. Do not engage with or escalate the situation yourself. Our moderation team will review all reports and take appropriate action.

11. Staff Has Final Say

SameSky staff and moderators have final say on all content and conduct matters. Moderation decisions are made at our discretion to protect the safety and integrity of the community. If you believe a decision was made in error, you may submit an appeal through the appropriate channels.

12. Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in one or more of the following actions:

Repeated or severe violations will result in escalated consequences. We reserve the right to take action on any behavior that we determine to be harmful to the community, even if not explicitly listed above.

13. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SameSky after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated guidelines.
